Rome is in chaos; the Pontifex Maximus has been missing since Augustalia. For a time the Imperial Cult managed to hide his absence but in recent months his loss has become obvious.

Without the steadying influence of the Pontifex, the eternal city is a powder keg of familia, factions and guilds struggling to exploit the lack of leadership to their own advantage. Underpinning it all are rumors of strange occurrences; creatures stalking the sewers, garbled messages from spirits the Flamen don’t understand, weird dreams and Augurs with impossible visions.

Urbs Aeterna is a Fantasy Alternate-History LARP set in the Roman Empire. Magic is real (if mysterious) and participants will play Roman Citizens.

The three pillars of Roman society are War, Religion and Politics and these themes will drive the game’s characters, mysteries and plot.

The game will take place at Kiwanis Lodge in Huia, Auckland.

Tickets include accommodation and food for the weekend, and costume use for crew members.

Covid-19 Requirements

We will be requiring evidence of a negative RAT to attend the game in accordance with government guidelines. If you are unable to provide this before game start you will be asked to leave and no refund will be given.

If you buy a ticket and are unable to attend last-minute due to illness we will be offering full refunds as long as you let us know before game.
